5 Ways to Love Yourself This Valentine’s Day
Happy Valentine’s Day! In this post, I want to share with you 5 Ways to Love Yourself This Valentine’s Day. Many people probably think about Valentine’s Day mostly as a day for couples or small children. While it is a day for couples to celebrate their love for each other, or a fun holiday for children, Valentine’s Day can also be about love in general (loving your family, loving your friends). When you think about love, you cannot forget to love yourself. Following are five ideas for loving yourself this Valentine’s Day.
Listen to Your Favorite Music
Listening to your favorite music can definitely be a mood booster. I don’t know about you, but whenever I put on some of my favorite music, it always uplifts my mood.
Take Time Out to Do Something You Enjoy
What are things that you enjoy? Even if you are single, you can still take time out of your day to something that you enjoy. Take a walk, read from your favorite book, or watch your favorite television show. All easy things that you can do and enjoy yourself. If these three things are not enjoyable to you, then find something that is and do it.
Write a Love Letter to Yourself
This idea might be a little more unconventional, but get out that journal or a piece of paper and write down all of the things that you love about yourself. You might find that there are more things than you thought and you will probably feel better after the experience.
Buy Yourself Some Flowers (or Chocolate)
If you don’t receive flowers (or chocolate) from a loved one, then why not buy yourself some? Treating yourself to something nice is another way to boost your mood.
Call and Check In With a Loved One
Is there someone in your life that you have been meaning to call? Why not call them today just to say, “Hello.” and check-in with them?
About Amanda Davis
Mission Statement: My mission is to empower others to be their best selves both by serving customers to find products that make them feel beautiful inside and out and through mentoring other Avon Representatives both on and off my team to success in their own businesses.
A little more about me: I was born and raised in Richmond, Virginia and still live locally. I have my Masters in Teaching for Early and Elementary Education and I am an early childhood educator. I have been teaching since 2012. I joined Avon in August 2011 in order to earn an income around going to college full time. When I first joined Avon, I had no idea what I was getting myself into and I had never heard of direct sales. My mother had actually been an Avon Representative briefly before I was born and she shared some about the company with me and said that I should go for it! I met with my mentor and she signed me up and the rest is history! Over the last several years, Avon has become a major passion of mine and I have enjoyed being able to share Avon and its products and missions with those around me. Throughout the years, I have been honored to receive several awards and recognition related to my Avon business. I do not have a family yet, but my hope is that when I decide to start one I can use Avon as a source of income in order to stay at home with my children when they are small like my mom stayed home with me and my brother until we both were in school.
