First Steps as a New Avon Representative

First I want to say Welcome to Avon! When you first sign up as an Avon Independent Sales Representative things can be overwhelming. You may be wondering, what now? You may think you have to wait for your kit to arrive in the mail in order to get started. In the video above and in this post I will share with you some tips and steps to do as a brand new Avon Independent Sales Representative.

Watch your emails for communication from Avon and your mentor. These emails will contain important information regarding your new Avon account.
Watch your phone for communication from your mentor. As mentors, Avon wants us to connect with our new representatives because with Avon you are in business for yourself, but not by yourself. In addition to email, your mentor may give you a call and/or send you a text to introduce themselves and welcome you to Avon.
As soon as you receive the first email from Avon welcoming you to the company with your account number and district number, you should register your new representative account online at YourAvon.com. Once you have registered your account, get logged on to the representative website at YourAvon.com.
Make sure your eStore is setup (this could have been completed during the registration process) as you can start sharing your new online store right away to start getting customers even before your kit arrives.
Explore the YourAvon.com website and read as much as you can find the time to read (even before your kit arrives).
Begin taking your Avon U courses (or whatever the representative training is called at the time you sign-up). Avon offers some great training for free to get you started with your business even before you get your kit.
Take some time to start setting your goals for your first campaign. What do you want to accomplish? Why did you start selling Avon?
Start sharing the Daily Care Collection (this flyer can be printed from YourAvon.com in your New Representative center as of March 2018).
Start letting people know about your new business.

About Amanda Davis – My Avon Story

Mission Statement: My mission is to empower others to be their best selves both by serving customers to find products that make them feel beautiful inside and out and through mentoring other Avon Representatives both on and off my team to success in their own businesses.

A little more about me: I was born and raised in Richmond, Virginia and still live locally. I have my Masters in Teaching for Early and Elementary Education and I am an early childhood teacher. I have been teaching since 2012. In the next five years, I would like to get my reading specialist endorsement so that I can become a reading specialist. I joined Avon in August 2011 in order to earn an income around going to college full time. When I first joined Avon, I had no idea what I was getting myself into and I had never heard of direct sales. My mother had actually been an Avon Representative briefly before I was born and she shared some about the company with me and said that I should go for it! I met with my upline sales leader and she signed me up and the rest is history! Over the last several years, Avon has become a major passion of mine and I have enjoyed being able to share Avon and it’s products and missions with those around me.In 2013, I took an interest in expanding my online Avon business and since then I have been blogging and growing my Social Media presence. Avon is truly loved by many and when you start sharing that online you can really see the love and support from others worldwide. Even though we can only serve customers in the United States and share the Avon opportunity with those in the USA, worldwide followers will find you on Social Media and the web. In 2014, I was awarded the Spirit of Avon award and I earned the coveted President’s Club sales level and my first Mrs. P.F.E. Albee figurine. Mrs. P.F.E. Albee was the first Avon Lady back when David McConnell (Avon’s founder) had the California Perfume Company (which later became Avon Products). In 2016, Avon Products North America was bought out and thus New Avon, LLC was born. I have been super excited for the new changes of New Avon, LLC! My goals in 2018 are to continue to grow my online presence, earn President’s Club sales level, and become an Ambassador or above in our leadership chain. I do not have a family yet, but my hope is that when I decide to start one I can use Avon as a source of income in order to stay at home with my children when they are small like my mom stayed home with me and my brother until we both were in school.
